Through their books, classes, workout DVD and workshops, Andy Larson, M.D. and Ivy Larson (aka the 2 Larsons) strive to help people learn to make healthy living doable and enjoyable. It’s a program that started as a result of Ivy Larson’s personal health problem in 1998. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 22 she explored her options (with Andy Larson’s help!) and discovered a natural approach to greatly improving her health through lifestyle modification and nutritional therapy. Figuring he had nothing to lose (except maybe a few pounds), Andy soon adopted Ivy’s healthy regimen. He saw a quick and dramatic improvement in his body fat percentage, blood pressure and energy level. During the time he was revamping his lifestyle, he was also going through a very tough surgical residency and busier than busy but he soon became hooked on his new way of life, which turned out to be not that difficult to follow after all! Almost one year to the day after their wedding, Ivy Larson and Andy Larson had their first child and he too was thrust into the couple’s healthy living routine. The Larson’s son, Blake, is now 7 years old and he’s reaped the rewards of their healthy lifestyle from day one. Blake has been on antibiotics just once in his life, he’s never had an ear infection, he doesn’t have allergies, he doesn’t suffer from asthma, he rarely gets sick and with the exception of his regular scheduled check-ups, he doesn’t need to visit his pediatrician.
Over the last decade, the Larson’s have worked hard to bring their healthy lifestyle program out of their home and into the homes of others.
